Overview

Ledson Motorsports returned to the racing world in 2005 when Nick Ledson jumped in a go-kart for the first time. Starting out at the Hamilton Motorsports Complex, Nick showed the determination that helped him get to the top of all the other sports he played and earned 10 podium appearances in the 13 races he entered. Starting a full season in 2006, and adding brother Cole to the driver roster in 2007, the team has scored many victories throughout their four years in the karting spotlight, mainly the 2008 Simcoe Kart Club Junior Light Championship by Nick.

But racing runs in the Ledson family as team boss/mechanic/father Geordie has always been the world of motorsports. As a kid Geordie showed a very large interest in racing but due to commitments on the farm and later the family trucking company, Geordie didn't have the time to pursue it like his kids do today. Through his late 20's and 30's, Geordie helped out his close friends at Robbie Thompson Racing in the Super Late Model and NASCAR Craftsmen Truck Series. Also during this time, he got his shot behind the wheel as he competed in the F2000 Bridgstone/Firestone Racing Series at Mosport International Raceway. During this time he also had the chance of racing at Shannonville Motorsports Park aboard some serious Suzuki 600cc bikes.

Today, the team travels all over Ontario racing both club and regional competitions. In 2010 the team joined forces with Evolution Go-Karts designed by Enzo Chiovitti Sr. of 3S Go-Karts. Watching closely at each event, Enzo Chiovitti Jr. turns the wrenches and helps the drivers as their on and off track development coach. 2011 saw Nick earn the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Rotax/TaG Junior title, while Cole scored an Ontario Grand National Bear in the Junior Lite class. For 2012, Nick will jump to the Senior ranks, taking on the Senior Honda and Rotax Senior clases, while Cole will continue to impress in the junior classes.
